Top Note - Redcurrant Bright red, with glossy skin, this mouth-watering note harmonises with blackcurrant to bring an acidulous effect.
Heart Note - Raspberry Vivid red with a gentle pink tone, the colour captures the essence of this soft fruity note. Balanced with green undertones, it adds an outdoorsy fresh effect.
Base Note - White Musk Powdery and clean, it enhances the trail of the scent, adding a softness that endures.
I went along to the Jo Malone store in Chichester, West Sussex, to try out the scent for myself, where they were holding an event in collaboration with Joanna’s Boutique Tearoom (if you know me you’ll know I already love it there!) and was very excited to see what treats they had created inspired by the new fragrance. As you can see from the pictures they created some beautiful cupcakes, exquisitely decorated biscuits plus some delicious raspberry lemonade!
When I first heard about the fragrance, Raspberry Ripple, I was so curious as to how it would smell. Would it be sickly sweet? Like I’d just rubbed melted ice cream into my skin? Not at all! I mean this IS Jo Malone we’re taking about after all. It’s a sophisticated, wearable summer fragrance that is vibrant with red fruits and softened by white musk's. It’s warm and juicy, yet soft and light, perfect for summer days. It smells to me like a celebration of some of my favourite aspects of summer.
If you’re a fan of fragrances like Peony & Blush Suede and Poppy & Barley then I think you will love this as much as I do! In fact I ended up pairing this cologne in my hand & arm massage with the Wood Sage & Sea Salt exfoliating body wash and the Poppy & Barley body lotion and they paired so perfectly. I couldn’t believe how delicious I smelt! A hand & arm massage is something you can book complimentary at Jo Malone stores to try out fragrances and discover scent layering. It feels so luxurious, I’d definitely recommend trying it out.
I loved the new Raspberry Ripple fragrance so much that I asked for a 30ml bottle for my birthday last week and I think I’ll have to stock up on the 100ml before it sells out as I’ve become addicted!
