Book Store Days & Bookish Gifts

A rainy day spent lost in a bookstore is my kind of self care.
There is just something about spending an unexpectedly rainy day wandering around a book store, choosing some new books, perhaps followed by a cafe stop with a hot chocolate and some cake that is so simple, yet has the perfect amount of magical whimsy I could never tire of. One of my favourite local book shops in West Sussex is this branch of Waterstones in Chichester. Located opposite Chichester Cathedral, it has a particularly beautiful upstairs department with a chandelier so make sure you check that out if you’re in the area. I picked up some Christmas gifts for my Mum that I think she's really going to love.

Speaking of gifts for book lovers you NEED to see my incredible new book shop bag by Vendula London! They have released the most magical new A/W collection this bookish girl could’ve dreamed up called: Book Binders. This one is the Mini Grace Bag. Just take a look at all those details on the book store front - the little sign, the front door (that actually opens btw!) and the window displays. Every detail is exquisite. It has many pockets to keep all your items separate and accessible and also has a detachable and adjustable strap. All of Vendula's Bags are made from vegan leather, are designed by women and are handmade in limited quantities so you know you're getting something particularly unique.

Use my code: KKLOVES12 for 12% off everything in their store! They have launched all of their beautiful Autumn/Winter collections now and there is lots to check out.

More Picks:

Here are some of my other favorite bag picks from Vendula London.

Mystic Wicks - I love this whole candle & wandmaker shop inspired collection. I actually have the Mini Grace in this one as well and it's gorgeous! The burgundy tones combined with copper hardware had me drawn to it immediately. Photos coming to my Instagram soon!

Butterfly Garden Jayla Evening Bag - This design on this bag is so beautiful,  the bright red 3D poppies are such a statement and I think it would be lovely for a Christmas party or event.

Gardens of the World - Greece - This range is perfect if you've got a trip planned. I love the blue and white colour palette with pops of pink florals in the designs, reflective of Greece. I own the Gia Cross Body Bag and it's a nice manageable size with lots of little pockets.

They also have 2 collections supporting Breast Cancer where 8% of each purchase from these ranges go to The Pink Ribbon Foundation. Both of these collections are beautiful and wonderfully pink! Perfectly Pink Afternoon Tea Bus and Pink Ribbon Foundation x Vendula
