If you’ve followed me for a while then you know how much I love Jersey. I try and go every year, all being well with my health, and stay at the same hotel in St Brelades Bay. One of the many things that draws me back to Jersey each year is the bay itself and particularly St Brelades Bay Hotel.
Here are 7 reasons why I love St Brelades Bay Hotel:
The Rooms: Each room is unique, differently decorated, different shapes and sizes and I’ve never stayed in the same one twice, although I do have my favourites! The sea view balconies are the best choice in my opinion. Click here to have a browse of all the room options.
The Views: I’ll never get over waking up in the mornings I stay here and being able to look out at the view of the most perfect beach of Saint Brelade. There is always so much going on in the bay to watch so you’ll never get bored, from people out on the water paddle-boarding, boats and people jumping off the pier.
The Breakfast: I always look forward to going down to breakfast each morning. It is served in the Bay Restaurant with a choice of continental & cooked from a buffet and some dishes from the kitchens. My favourite things are the homemade granola pots, the freshly baked mini pastries - particularly the pastel de nata! You’re always greeted with a warm welcoming smile and a “enjoy your breakfast” from Leo which gets the day off to a lovely start!
The Pool & Gardens: They’re like a magical gem tucked away behind the hotel and I love spending time relaxing out there with my book amongst the flowers or taking a dip in the pool. You can get drinks and snacks brought down from the Petit Port Café as well.
The Spa: If I can, I try and treat myself to a spa treatment when I’m staying here. They do the absolute BEST hot stone massage here that I’ve ever had! You get changed into a fluffy robe, there is a relaxation room for you to go and chill out in post- treatment and you can make use of their indoor pool, hot tub and gym there as well. The Restaurant Options: The Bay Restaurant offers formal dinner and lunches as well as Sunday lunch which I definitely recommend booking in for! The Bay Bar you’ll find more informal dining options, you can also enjoy tapas on the terrace looking out at the beach and the best homemade ice cream on the island. For an Al fresco dining spot you can head into the gardens to the Petit Port Café which overlooks the outdoor pool and beautiful flowers in the garden. They offer lunches, dinner and BBQ’s in the summer and is always a great atmosphere! Click here for more information on the dining options and a look at the menus.
The Staff & How Well They Take Care of You: The staff have always been so kind towards us, they remember us each year we come back and have been exceptionally accommodating to any additional needs, items for the room and assistance I’ve required due to my chronic illness and disability. I feel very lucky to have found this place.
